Hi, I’m Kristyn—the owner and heart behind The Blooming Skull.

I’m a wife, mama to four very busy boys, fur mama, nurse by trade, and the creative mind behind this little business of mine. After years of pouring so much of myself into my career, I reached a point where being present for my family needed to come first. And with four boys, you can probably imagine there is never a shortage of chaos around here!

As much as I love being home and present for my family, I’ve always been someone who needs a creative outlet. I have a love for fashion, home décor, design, and finding those unique little things that make you stop and say, “Okay, I need that.” The Blooming Skull has given me a way to turn that passion into something I can build from home while still being the wife and mama I want to be.

I was born and raised on a farm in Southern Colorado and later married into a ranching family, so the country way of life has always been home to me. It’s more than an aesthetic—it has shaped my work ethic, the way I treat people, and the way I approach life. Those country roots, mixed with my love for boho, western, and a little bit of the unexpected, became the inspiration behind The Blooming Skull.

Today, The Blooming Skull has grown into a boutique and Scoop Shoppe filled with things I genuinely love. You’ll find a mix of western and boho-inspired clothing, accessories, home décor, handmade goods, fun little finds, and plenty of personality.

And then there’s The Blooming Skull Scoop Shoppe—the extra-fun side of the boutique! The Scoop Shoppe brings a little surprise and excitement to shopping, with mystery scoops filled with boutique treasures, handmade goodies, accessories, self-care items, home finds, and more. You never quite know what your scoop will bring, and that’s part of the fun.

My goal has always been for The Blooming Skull to feel like more than a place to shop. I want it to feel personal. I want you to find things that make your home feel more like you, pieces that make you feel good when you wear them, and maybe a surprise or two you never knew you needed.

Most importantly, I want to build relationships with the people who support this dream. Every order, scoop, comment, share, and interaction means that a real person chose to support my small business and, in turn, my family—and that is something I will never take for granted.
